Arizona Probate Executor Duties

Arizona probate executor duties are handled by a personal representative which is the Arizona term for what most other states call an executor. The Arizona probate executor, or the personal representative, is appointed by the Court to administer the estate and assets of an individual who has died, also referred to as a decedent.

The Arizona probate executor has the responsibility of ensuring that the decedent’s affairs are taken care of after death and in accordance with the decedent’s Last Will and Testament, assuming a Will exists. If there is no Will, the decedent’s affairs are to be handled in accordance with Arizona State law.
